Team-level analysis

Compare team performance beyond the league table

The team explorer combines results with expected-goal and pressing measures for the five domestic leagues where the underlying data is available consistently. It is designed to show whether a points total is supported by chance quality and repeatable performance, not just the final score of the latest match.

Available team measures

Expected goals and expected points

xG and xGA summarize chance quality. Expected points translate match probabilities into a season-long comparison with actual points.

Rolling performance

Rolling xG difference helps separate a sustained change from one unusually good or bad match.

Pressing intensity

PPDA approximates how many opposition passes a team allows before attempting a defensive action.

Finishing and prevention

Goals compared with xG can reveal over- or under-performance, but the gap is evidence to investigate rather than proof of luck.

Supported competitions

Select a competition to open its current-season table and individual team charts. Other competitions remain available in the fixture and results browsers, but are not presented here because the same team-level measures cannot be produced consistently.
